Mature skin usually results in apparent sagging skin, deepened wrinkles and a dull complexion due to age spots. These consequences of aging are caused by cell degradation and slowing down of cell renewal.

We can usually observe mature skin from the age of 50 as well as during menopause. One of the effects of menopause is the loss of many hormones, which are necessary for healthy skin and proper function. This is why, during the first signs of menopause, the skin experiences marked changes which will leave their mark.
