Peppermint Essential Oil
Peppermint Essential Oil
Peppermint: the menthol it contains has an analgesic (pain-relieving) effect that acts on pain receptors. This causes immediate subcutaneous vasoconstriction, resulting in its cooling effect. Peppermint is used externally to relieve joint and inflammatory pain. Rarely used undiluted, except for one or two drops for certain types of neuralgia, it is often an ingredient in many topical pain-relieving formulations.
